Privacy Policy: Data Collection and Protection

We care about your privacy at the monthly salary calculator. This page lays out what we collect, why we collect it, and what say you have over it. No legal jargon. No fine print designed to wear you down before you reach the bottom.

What This Policy Covers

This policy covers your whole visit here. Every page you read, every form you fill in, every ad you might click along the way. If you keep using the site after reading this, that means you're okay with what's written below.

The Information We Collect

What You Tell Us Directly

Some information only shows up because you handed it over. Maybe you signed up for something, or sent us a message through the contact form. Either way, we'll have whatever you typed in — your name, your email, that kind of thing. Nothing more than what you actually gave us.

What Gets Picked Up Automatically

Your browser shares a few things just by showing up. Your IP address, your browser type, the pages you visited, and when. We use this mostly to fix bugs and figure out which parts of the site are actually working for people.

How We Use Your Information

We keep this part simple. Your data helps us run the site, answer your questions, and show ads that are more relevant to you. That's it. We don't sell your personal information, and we never have.

Cookies, Explained Without the Jargon

Cookies are small files that sit on your device after a visit. They help the site remember you, and they help us understand how people use our pages overall. Most browsers accept them by default, but you can switch that off at any time.

Google's DART Cookie

Google is one of the companies that places ads on this site, and it uses something called a DART cookie. It lets Google show you ads based on sites you've visited here and elsewhere. If you'd rather skip that, you can turn it off through Google's ad settings.

Turning Cookies On or Off

You're in control here. Block cookies, delete them, whatever suits you, straight from your browser settings. Just know that switching them all off might make parts of the site feel a little clunkier. Your call either way.

Our Advertising Partners

A few of our ad partners run their own cookies too, and they might use that data to show you ads they think you'll like. Each partner follows its own privacy rules, and we don't have a say in how they handle what they collect.

Your Rights Over Your Own Data

If You're in the UK

UK data protection law gives you the right to see the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, such as for advertising cookies, you can withdraw it at any time. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

If You're in the EU

GDPR gives EU residents some real protections. You can ask to see what data we hold on you, ask us to fix it, or ask us to delete it completely. You can also tell us to stop using it altogether. Just reach out, and we'll handle it.

If You're in California

CCPA gives California residents similar ground to stand on. You can ask what personal data we have on file, request that we delete it, or tell us not to sell it, though we never sell anyone's data in the first place.

How We Keep Your Data Safe

We take reasonable steps to protect anything you share with us, using standard security practices and sensible habits across the site. No website can promise total safety, though, so our real goal is cutting the risk down as far as it'll go.

A Note on Children's Privacy

This site isn't built for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from kids that age. If you think a child has shared information with us somehow, let us know right away. We'll remove it fast.

Changes to This Policy

We might update this page from time to time, usually to match a change in the law or in how the site runs. When that happens, the new version goes up here, and the date at the top will move to match. Worth a glance every so often.
